Directions to Dive Sites
BACK BEACH, ROCKPORT
Take 128 North into Gloucester. Follow all the way to the end.
You'll go through TWO rotaries. Go
halfway around each so you stay on 128 north.
At the end you come to a set of lights.
Take a left at the lights. This
is 127 (Eastern Ave). Follow
several miles. You'll come to a
three-way fork. Take a left staying
on 127. Go about 1/4 to 1/2 mile,
watch for Beach St. on your right, it's a hard right, almost backwards.
Go right onto Beach St. The beach is on your left.
FOLLY COVE, GLOUCESTER
Take 128 North to the first rotary.
Go 3/4 around the rotary (9 o'clock position) to 127 North.
Follow this winding road for several miles and you'll go by a small beach
on the left with a dirt parking lot on the right side of the street. This is Plum Cove. After
you go by Plum start watching on your left.
You'll pass Seaside Cemetery on your left at a curve in the road. Folly
Cove is just past this about 200'. If
you enter Rockport you just went by Folly cove.
HALIBUT POINT, ROCKPORT
Follow the directions to Folly Cove. Pass Folly Cove
and enter Rockport. The road will take a sharp bend to the right. At
the bend, go straight off the road and park on the shoulder. Make sure
your car is off the road. Take a path leading into the woods. You
will come to a wooden fence. Take a left after the fence and the path will
take you to the water.
OLD GARDEN BEACH, ROCKPORT
Take 128 North thru the second rotary.
At traffic lights take a left onto Route 127 to Rockport Center.
You will come to an intersection with multiple streets.
Turn Right onto Route 127A. About
half a mile down Route 127A; take a left onto Norwood Avenue.
Follow Norwood Avenue for several blocks to where the road will turn
right for one block. The Dive Site
will be on your left. You will see
a resident only parking lot. You will have to find parking on side streets.
PEBBLE
BEACH, ROCKPORT
Take 128 North thru the second rotary.
At traffic lights take a left onto Route 127.
Just pass the Shopping Plaza on your right, take a right onto Marina
Drive to Route 127A. Take a left on 127A and follow it for several miles to
South Street (Land Mark Turk’s Head Motor Inn.)
Take a Right onto South Street. Take
a Left onto Penzance Road. Pebble
beach will be on your right. Parking
on right side only.
STAGE FORT PARK, GLOUCESTER, MA
Take route 128 North to Exit 14, Route 133. Go right off the exit.
When you come to Route 127, take a right. Take
your next left onto Hough Avenue. Stage
Fort Park parking lot will be on your right.
Turn into parking lot and take a left.
Head down towards the end and try to park on the left facing the street.
Beach is across the street. Memorial
Day to Labor Day there is a $10.00 per carload fee.

I-95 S/MA-128 S toward CANTON/PROVIDENCE RI. 10.0 mi
Keep LEFT to take I-93 N/US-1 N via EXIT 12 toward BOSTON. 6.8 mi
Merge onto MA-3 S via EXIT 7 toward CAPE COD. 7.0 mi
Take EXIT 15 toward RTE. 53/S. HINGHAM. 0.2 mi
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto DERBY ST. 0.9 mi
Turn LEFT onto GARDNER ST. 1.1 mi
Turn LEFT onto MAIN ST/MA-228. 2.8 mi
Turn RIGHT onto MAIN ST/MA-228. Continue to follow MA-228. 3.7 mi
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto SCHOOL ST. 0.2 mi
Turn RIGHT onto ATLANTIC AVE. 0.2 mi

Directions from Providence:
Take Interstate Rte. 95 South, to Rte. 4 South, to Rte.1 South, to Rte.
138 East, to Canonicus Avenue, to Walcott Avenue, to Fort Wetherill Road.
KING'S BEACH, NEWPORT, RI
Directions from Boston
* Take 93-south out of the city, then take Exit 4 (left exit) onto 24-south. You'll be driving into Rhode Island on Route 24. 24-south will eventually join 114.
* Follow 114 to the Newport line. Take a right onto 138. (This is the second time 24/114 hits 138. On this corner you will find Domino's Pizza, a Sunoco station, a Shell station, and a Dunkin Donuts. There will be a sign for "Newport Bridge - 138" on the left just before a traffic rotary. Take this turn and immediately get into the left lane. If you miss the turn, you can go all the way around the rotary and take the turn right from the other direction.
* Take the left lane exit for "Scenic Newport". *CAUTION: This exit comes up very quickly, and if you miss it you will be headed for the long toll bridge. After you exit, you will be on "Farewell Street".
* Bear right after passing the graveyard. This road will join the main road past the waterfront. Keep going straight until the road turns to the left in front of the "Newport Bay Club and Hotel". Stay in the middle lane here and head up the hill. Turn right on "Bellvue". You should see signs for the Bellvue mansions.
* Follow Bellvue to the end. The road will start to loop back to the right. After the turn, take an immediate left onto Ocean Ave.
* Kings Beach is about 2 miles down Ocean Ave on the left. There is a small sign by a dirt road. Pull in the dirt road and park. The beach is at the end of the road. * If you hit Brenton Point State Park you have gone too far.
